Hurricane Ida Relief

Hurricane Ida Relief

Cajun Navy

The Cajun Navy was founded after the disastrous flood of 2016. It is an organic, citizen-led disaster relief team. With no red-tape and little to no overhead, they are able to work extremely efficiently.

Since this organization is entirely made up of people in our community, they have the knowledge and man power to quickly help those who need the most help. You can click here to donate.

United Way of Southeast Louisiana

United Way of Southeast Louisiana is here before, during, and after disasters. When a disaster strikes, your gift helps families get back in their homes, rebuild schools and businesses, and give our vulnerable neighbors the care they need. United Way works with local organizations to thoughtfully build strategies to create resilient communities. You can click here to donate.

GoFundMe

We are all well aware of the power of GoFundMe and the benefits of crowd sourcing donations. To help out our situation down south they have created a fundraiser themselves that will include efforts like erecting temporary shelters, distributing food and water, providing medical care, and more. You can click here to donate.

Southern Solidarity

They are a grassroots, community based group of volunteers that organize the delivery of food and medical supplies to the unhoused people in New Orleans with a current focus on those affected by Hurricane Ida. Click here to donate.

Greater New Orleans Foundation

The Greater New Orleans Foundation is the philanthropic institution dedicated to driving positive impact through philanthropy, leadership, and action in the Greater New Orleans Region. They service 13 parishes including Orleans, LaFourche, and St.Tammany. All of which were devastated by Hurrican Ida. Click here to donate.

Louisiana has a long history of getting knocked down and getting back up and pushing through. The people here are as resilient as they come. I truly believe we have a community like no other. Often being overlooked by national media, we all come together and truly help each other out of whatever situation may arise. Many of the resources are community based and led by actual people in our communities. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated.
