Louisiana is home for us. Born and nurtured here since 2000. This shoe is an ode to the deep rooted Louisiana culture that built Rukus into what it is today.

Louisiana is considered the Sportsman’s Paradise. If you grew up here, chances are you have been duck hunting at least once. 

As a nod to that shared experience. We created a full Mallard Duck color way of the New Balance Numeric 480. The color palette directly ties into the sought after game duck and every special box pair comes with goodies to reflect a duck hunt itself.

This is one of New Balances most expressive 480’s to date. Rukus gives the customer a taste of the store’s Southern roots with this ‘Mallard Duck’ color way.

The colors of the shoe tie directly back to the Mallard Duck itself with a premium brown suede that matches the feathers, tumbled yellow leather like the beak, orange accents for their feet, and the cherry on top is the iridescent ’N’ logo on the side that mimics the duck’s feathers when wet.

The special box and accessories will only be available if you purchase from Rukus. There will be wider release following ours, but they will be packaged in standard New Balance boxes.
